gs300 and tl type s

About 3 months ago i was in the market for a new car. I strongly considered the new type s as well as the gs300. I ended up getting a 1999 gs300 and love the car. It has brought nothing but happiness.

anyway, yesterday i test drove my friends new type s . really pushed it and i liked what i saw. then handling is much better and of course there is more power. there is much less body roll. i must say that there were too many squeeks and its not as smooth as my gs.

overall, the gs and tl are both great cars. if u like to speed and race and dont care about the comfort get the tl type s. if luxury and class is what u desire then go for the gs300. although i do wish i would've got the 400 for the extra power.

take care
sk

They are both great cars. The TL-S is geared towards more sport while the gs300 is more towards luxury. And we all know the gs400 combines both!:wow:

BTW, you should have sold one of your kidneys so that you can get the gs400.

Word!!! I love the combination of Lux and sport in the GS4. My TLS is great too but your right about the squeaks and stuff. I love my car but i wish it had some better QC.

Just don't forget that stock, the GS (3 or 4) is definitely on the soft side in terms of handling. The GS4 goes in a straight line REAL fast, but try turning and things get a little scary. That's where L-Tuned comes in with a pretty affordable suspension swap that's covered under the factory warranty. I have it and the car feels like a MUCH smaller car with solid handling. In fact, the car corners so flat now that what I'm REALLY lacking is proper side-bolstering for the seats!

The GS4 is a great car, no doubt...

not sure the reason for the thread, but...

If you are in the market for a new car, then why did you buy a car that is 3 years old?

"if u like to speed and race and dont care about the comfort get the tl type s. if luxury and class is what u desire then go for the gs300". Right.... The TL is extremely uncomfortable, like sitting on pins and needles.

SSItls, be careful of stolen GS' reconditioned and sold on the cheap.

I used to own a gs300, and it sucked imo. I hated the car...no power, many problems, and it was just not what i wanted in a car. I bought the tls, and have been happy ever since.

Everyone is going to have an opinion on whether they like this car or that car better. I would probably drive just about any car with enough interior room and HP/TQ. Others would not.
