I have been thinking about looking into getting a tour of the honda/Acura plant in marysville Ohio. i just called honda and found out that they only give tours during certain times of the year (fall) and they only give tours to groups or orgaizations. I was wondering if we could get a bunch of us together as a group representing Acura-TL.com i am not sure if this will work but i would be willing to try and set it up if we can all pull together and make arrangements for a visit to our beloved Tl's birth place. i have always wanted to visit acar manufacturing plant. especially one that manufactures Tl's wouldent it be cool to see brand new Tl's being born comming off the assembly line?
post your opinions and if you would be willing to be part of the group.

BTW they also make several honda motorcycles and ATV's as well as 2 and 4 door accords and the CL line.

I thought about that also I was reading about it in a car mag &I think some Saturn owners did it one year.If they only do it in the fall we can't go untill next year.I would like to see the car being made myself.

Sounds cool! I don't know if I'd drive out to Marysville for just that, but I could maybe plan a road trip around it...stop in cool places...drive part of Route 66...if I can only convince the wife...(whoops meesed up the fantasy) =)

LOL Yea a different kind of company and a different kind of car. so if you want to drive a plastic peice of crap by all means go out and get one! the rest of us will be driving Acura's!

as an installer of 12 years it is kind of sad to see how they are made. when you take apart the inside of a saturn you will find you dont need many tools because most everything is held together with velcro!

BTW thanks for the replies everyone keep them comming if i can get enough people to say yes i will put in a request and see what months they will offer tours. i think they said there was more than 1 time per year but fall was in my mind because it is that time of year now. most likely i think if we could agree on a time about 6 months in the future we might be able to get some folks to make plans.
