GPS Antenna Install?

Getting ready to install a modern radio in my 1999 TL. Has anyone installed a GPS Antenna in a good location without having wires run everywhere?

I've got mine on the front of the dash, just under the windshield.

On my son's Mazda, it's in the upper left corner of the windshield. The mic is clipped to the sunvisor. The wires run under the A pillar trim.

Did you drill a hole in the dash?

No need, I had enough cable to run the wires down the dash to the side, around some structural stuff, and then out towards the windshield. I was able to tuck the exposed cable back behind the plastic panels.

So from the TL Radio Cavity you ran the cable behind the dash out to the drivers side, emerging somewhere around the fuze panel and then on to the top of the dash? Trying to determine the routing you used.

That's exactly it. Back of the radio cavity > Driver's side, snaking around the steering column > fuse box > Around the fuse box right up against the wall > up the wall, following the edge line of the dashboard > emerges at the front driver-side corner.

Say, you didn't also install a backup camera with your retrofit?

I didn't, no. But it looks like it'd be straightforward, if you're planning on going that route!

The back up camera was no problem. I used a license plate cam and I ran the wiring down the passenger side, trying the reverse trigger into the passenger side reverse light and grounded on the metal under the panel in the trunk. The wiring from the camera just goes straight up from the bumper - no drilling required.
