If I decide to do my own install, does the antenna have to be exposed or can it be installed where the navi antenna is, under the rear deck cover? I was hoping I could "hide it" where it could not be seen. Unlike the navi antenna does it have to be exposed to catch the signal?

 

satellite radio most of the time uses line of sight so yes it will need to see daylight...
