My brand new agean blue tl-s...50 miles on the odometer..Im driving two blocks from my house and come to a four way stop...Stop, and then start to go..A jeep on my left decides that he doesnt need to stop at the sign, goes right through it, and hits my brand new car..He clipped the front bumper, it bent both fron quarter panels, ruined the bumper and grill to...Plus on top of it the hood bent up into an upside down "v"..I am so pissed..At least i am ok..After the guy hit me he was going so fast he continued into a tree..Everyone in his car is ok too...I cant believe this shit...I could never imagine something like this ever happening..I beat the odds..Well no more TL-S till it gets back from the body shop..Just thought i would share my pain with you guys..

HOLY SHIT! - That is actually what I just said out loud here in the office!

Glad no one was hurt.

DAMN, I feel you pain. I'm starting to believe that the TLs are cursed.

I hope you can get your baby back ASAP!! Make that Jeep mofo pay for it too.

I had close to accident experience on the 2nd, 3rd and 5th day after I got mine. It's hard to drive in the city and not get into a accident these days. It's always other people, not urself.

I hate those STUPID DRIVERS that don't know how to drive. Damn..I get pissed whenever I hear about them. Someone ran into my previous car by running a red light. Pissed me off..

Look at the brighter side, you're OK. All it takes is a second of stupidity on the part of the other driver .... anyway I hope you're able to get your car fixed and back to normal.

New cars are like a magnet for careless drivers - I'm convinced of it! The second day I had my car, a caterer's (box) truck almost ran me off the road (and I was in the slow lane!).
My sympathy on your misfortune, due to the carelessness on the other driver's part! Hope it gets fixed soon and to your satisfaction.

I am so sorry to hear that man!! I am shocked just by reading this post. Damn!! I had my car for 3 days and this mitsubushi galant almost ran into my rear door. I was screaming (cursing) the shit out of her. Anyway, I hope everything is repairable for your ride.

You sound pretty calm in your post since your TL-S has only 50 miles on it. I would have killed that Jeep guy. Make sure he pays for your damages.
BTW, at least you are ok. Your car can be fixed.

After realizing no one was hurt, I would have ripped this guy a new a**hole! How old a kid was this (I assume it was a kid)? I'm not sure if I would have been able to control myself.

My condolences...I agree...new cars are magnets for "incidents"
I'm glad to hear you're physically ok....
a couple of weeks ago...I pulled out of my parking garage at work and naturally at the bottom of the driveway I stop to let cross traffic by....I'm blocking part of the sidewalk as any normal car would...and this one guy about to cross behind my car decides there's too many people crossing at the same time behind my car so he gets pissed off at my car and decides to slam his hand down on my trunk lid...OH MAN....I have not been this pissed off in a LOOOOOOONG time...I roll down my window and ask him just what he thought he was doing...and he looked at me like I was some kind of idiot...and told me to F*@# off...and so I yelled back...and he urged me to get outta my car....LoL...so I get out walked up to him and he was getting into a little fighting stance...just casually walked up to him, decked him in the right cheekbone...he fell and never got back up...got in my car and drove off....not something to be extremely proud of but hilarious...my co worker behind me calls me on the cell phone and was just laughing for like 4-5 city blocks...

Luckily no damage to my TLS except for his grubby oily handprints....

Glad 2 hear your ok. What ticks me off, is people, like the guy in the Jeep, think they're above the law. Doesn't STOP mean STOP? Last time I looked it did. Good luck getting your car fixed.

My husband did something like that over 10 years ago when he was on a business trip in Pennsylvania. He bopped the guy in the face and got in his car and left. About one month later, I'm checking the mail and there is a court summons for my husband to appear in the state of Pennsylvania on aggravated assault charges. To make a long story short, the guy got my husbands license plate and hired an attorney. My husband got off pretty light. Had to pay a court fine and the guys dentist bill. Keep your eye out for the mail!

Thanks for looking out
Well I didn't have my plates at the time...so that's good...but as I was leaving a couple of the business owners were cheering me on...evidently that guy is a well known trouble maker in the area...and the 2 business owners in the area told me they'd back me up in court if it came down to it saying he instigated the whole incident. On top of that they said chances are if he tried to press charges, he would likely get arrested instead...apparently he has a bad rep w/ the local police

But like I said...it wasn't the "right" thing to do...good thing I don't have kids haha...I'd be a bad example...

A moment of silence for a fallen TL-S, Aegean Blue no less............................................. May she rise back up even better than before.

That really sux man, I hope they get her back to you 100% and that they do it quickly. I had my alarm installed on mine, and I had seperation anxiety for the 2 days she was gone.

That sucks - hope the law hammers him good.

Too many people fail to realize that there is a world of difference between driving fast and driving stupid. People who take unecessary and risky chances are the ones who cause accidents and KILL other people - especially morons who run red lights or stop signs.

I'm convinced the next big thing for casrs will be always-on cams to record bad drivers. You simply record, and send the clip to the cops.

Like the jackass in the Maxima who sat two inches off my bumper and passed me in hurry, while in a single HOV lane, in spite of the fact I was already doing 75mpg, and my eight month pregnant wife was in the car.

As he passed me, I also noticed his second passenger was kid about five years old, not in a seat and unbuckled, jumping around in the back seat. Real genius.

I'd love to be able to hand videos of stuff like this to my local police...

Sorry to hear that nycvr6. I'm feeling sort of guilty because I've been stressing out over a small ding in my driver's side rear door, but that seems trivial now after reading about your accident. Glad to hear your O.K. and the car can be fixed.

I work for an Automobile Insurance Company and want to make sure you get what your entitled to from the Insurance Company. That includes things like depreciation now that your car has been wrecked and will always be considered "wrecked" even after it's fixed. It's not enough for the Insurance Company just too pay for the damages, they also owe you the amount of depreciation you vehicle has incurred as a result of the accident. If you ever decide to trade in or sell your car you will be penalized since it's been wrecked before. If they don't want to pay, then threaten to sue their arse. Believe you me, the last thing they want is a law suit and they would much prefer to settle outside of court and quickly before any unknown bodily injuries to the claimant (you in this case) might crop up. Just be careful and don't sign any waivers that would release them from being liable. They love to try this little "trick" to get them off the hook but don't let them since you are the victim and the one that was wronged (they forget that sometimes.)

However, not all Insurance Companies are crooks and hopefully the one you are dealing with is treating you fairly. From what I know, I consider the one I work for to be fair or I wouldn't work for them. Anyway, sorry about the long post and hope all goes well on getting your car fixed.
