Got Tranny Flush Service
I had the intention of just doing a fluid change, but instead went for the big kahuna tranny flush.
Cost $179.
Let me be the first to say my car shifts so smoooothhhhly now, it's like it was new again! For the past few months, the shifts became harder and harder and I was beginning to worry about my tranny failing. After the flush, she shifts so nice.
I'm not going to say anything about the flush and what it might do for the life of my tranny so as not to jinx myself.
But for those of you considering getting a full flush performed, let me be the first to give a big
edit: BTW, I had 44K and no tranny fluid/flush performed prior.

mine did also after I had mine flushed, but from now on...I will just do the drain and refill a few times - that is what I did recently and the tranny shifted smooth just like after the flush and it cost only $24 for 6 quarts of fluid vs. $150+ for a flush

Mine appears to shift harder especially 1 to 2 or 2 to 3 right when the car is starting to warm up. It is ok once the car is all warmed up, just some very slight rough shiffting. I asked the dealer and they just said do a drain+fill. After they did that I dont think I noticed anything smoother. I have about 35k miles on it and I did a drain+fill maybe 6k miles ago. Do you think a tranny flush is in order for me?

Bxscig, mine too, i believe is the constant stop and go in NYC, that does this none stop shifting.
I did my flush about a year ago....i think its something to do with mechanism of the stick, if put WD-40 there, it cant hurt, right?

A tranny flush via machine (ie. T-Tech) is NOT recommended for Acura/Honda transmissions. Reason being that we can't drop our tranny pans and change the filters. These machine flushes may actually loosen particles and cause potential problems with the tranny.
The best method to change out the fluid is to do a "triple flush". It's just 3 drain and refills with some driving between each drain& fill. This method will replace about 85% of the fluid and is safe for the tranny.
