Got a TL, wrecked in 2 days, time to fix
Got a 2000 TL 4 days ago, wrecked it on friday (deer in the road = swerve into ditch.) Sooo..... I have to replace the front bumper (found one for $319+$65 s/h OEM painted to match. Next major ordeal, the frame is bent. I searched this forum but couldn't find a price or est. On the driver's side there is roughly a four finger gap from tread to body. Passenger side...two fingers. Anyone even give a ball park for bending the frame back on a machine?
Also...checked out Delray Acura but couldn't find the under skirt thing that acts as a splash gaurd for the engine. Its the plastic moulding under the car behind the front bumper. What is it called....and how much?

I can still drive the car...perhaps the subframe is just tweaked. I haven't been around since friday to really give it a good look. But something is tweaked. Luckily the turngin radius is not greatly affected. I can execute a full turn both directions with no damage recurring besides rubbing on the plastic tire-spray guard on the bottom of the fender.
And what is that damned splash guard called???? grrrrrrr

i think hes refering to the sub frame...appearently the sub frame for our car is highly configurable...i got my right side smashed in...n they just loosened the bolts n pulled it forward n retightened...it may not b 100% exact but its really damn close...its only 1/8 of an inch off...to give u an idea what my crash looked like...i could not turn left at all kuz the rite wheel was wedged tight against the back of the wheel weld...
Sorry to hear bout ur ordeal... For the part below maybe you can find it at this website @ www.acuraautomotiveparts.org
some one mentioned to me that the plastic gaurd might be an under-carriage apron...no luck yet. Also called it in to a local shop and based on my description they said that as well as subframe damages there may be suspension damage as well....sigh

If the damage is to the unibody, you can get it straightened, but you'll need to find a good body shop with a frame puller. No real short cut there if you want the car right. They'll charge $50.00/hr or so. I would do that, and they can tell you if the subframe is damaged or not, and also check the rest of the suspension components. If they say the subframe is damaged, check the dealer for the cost of a new one, then start checking salvage yards. Make sure they give you a warranty so that if you buy it and then find out it's bent too, you don't get stuck.
