Got pulled over!!!

So I’m driving to college today going like 64-65 when a cop from the side of the road drives onto the freeway as I pass him. Drives in the other lane for a bit and then goes into mine and turns his lights on. I’m like wtf? He’s pulling me over for going 4 miles over? I pull over... He comes up to me... puts his hands on my door where the window should be and looks straight into my face like 10 inches away... (I’m thinking to myself "what the hell?") And he says “you got to take off that license plate cover!” (In my head… “WHAT A DOUSCHBAG!!!”) by the time he walked up to me I had all my information out. He asked if it was my car? I’m like yeah… asked for my registration, insurance, took my license, asked if I had any tickets… I’m like yeah I got one… He says “for what” I’m like speeding. And he’s still in my face… then he took my license went to his car… sat there for like 10 min… I was late to class because of this. Comes back and says “take if off” im like sure I’ll take it off today (yeah right… lol) and then he asks if I have a front license plate. I’m like yes I do. And he’s about to go check… my plate is kinda hidden behind the lower grill. So I quickly tell him that I got that rear cover from Shuck’s and I don’t think they should sell stuff that is illegal. I try to get his mind on something else. He’s like yeah they’ll sell it to you anyways. So I’m like… alright thank you officer… and I drive off. Don’t cops have anything better to do? My cover is just like everyone else’s, lightly tinted. Here’s a picture of my front plate, I’m pretty sure he would have given me a ticket for it if he saw it.

naw man, it doesnt matter that your taxes pay their salaray, it doesnt matter that down the street is a drug dealer, doesnt matter that there are domestic abuse going on everywhere. they gotta waste gas drivin around, then waste time pullin you over and waste air givin you shit. it's part of being a cop.

yes, i do realize that the majority of officers actually arent pricks and do their job, i just wanna rant about shitty cops

Hey i can't see it too well, but if there is nothing covering the front plate and you can clearly see the numbers, then you're fine. I did the same thing to my car after consulting with a few friends that are cops....

well the front is kinda hard to see. you have to duck down to see it. if he would've pulled me over for the front then i would've been fine with it but the back... its just pointless... and his attitude... damn... I hate seeing people like that representing "to serve and protect" learn people skills first then, serve and protect.

Awww, he wasn't *that* big of a d!ck. He didn't give you a ticket.

Why'd he pull you over? Who knows? That seems a little d!ck-like or maybe he had a legit concern reading your plate.

That front would've got you ticketed for sure - and you knew it. :shameonyou: You got off by the skin of you're teeth. lol

Now I see what you've done. just take the front plate out, cut it to fit and then put it back in front of the black grill piece. then you'll be fine.

Don't cut your license plate. What an asshole tho, I moved to a bigger city recently, and I don't get pulled over out there for stupid shit like that anymore like I did in the smaller town. That sucks he made you late for class, you should have asked him for a pass lol.

If you think that's bad, look at what we have to put up with around here.

http://www.officer.com/online/articl...ion=1&id=37834
http://www.ksdk.com/video/default.aspx?aid=58576&bw=
here's a news story on it

http://www.ksdk.com/video/default.aspx?aid=58576&bw=

and then the link to the google videos. dont mind the ticking noise:

there are 2 videos. this is the first

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...2117793977759&

BTW, the officer was later fired for this very unprofessional act.

Was that in Carrollton? Or in another city? 'cause in Plano, none of the people I know have gotten pulled over for the front license plate taken off.

man there's always cops overthere. try driving there on friday night or the weekend and all you'll see are the cop lights. I've been pulled over there like three times just for going faster then other cars (not even speeding, going the limit). no tickets though

that first picture is kinda how i want to put on my front plate. but in cali, i dunno if ill get pulled over for it. plus i got light tint in the fronts. so i might get ticketed for both. better not risk it. like i always say "dont give a reason for cops to pull you over, and they wont"
