Well for sometime I noticed my idles where dropping pretty low....I overlooked it thinking its bad gas....The car would have a heavy vibration....then stop. Well today on the way to work at the stop light my idles almost droped to zero. I called the dealership and they told me if its not shooting out any light it should be fine. Has anyone ever experienced this?

 

Try to fluid and change your antigel of your radiator ...or clean your electronic idle
control valve ....

My 1999 TL had an idle/stalling problem at low RPMs that I traced to the ignition immobilizer system. I had a Honda immobilizer key on my Acura's keyring and the keys interferred with each other.

Other possibilities include a dirty air filter, fouled spark plugs, a failing battery, a sticky Idle Air Control Valve (IACV).....and the list goes on.

There are many things that can cause low idle problems. Search for "idle" and "stall" and you'll find some excellent threads with many potential causes.

Yes - I had a throttle position sensor go out and it did the same thing. That would generate a CEL though. Have you had the computer scanned to see if there are any codes in it?

 

Why would that fix a low idle?

 

How do I clean the electronic idle valve... I am about to read the 3 pages on seafoam now, maybe that might help
