Got the bug back

Well, I went car shopping with a friend of mine last week, since he was looking at an IS250. I quickly realized the high initial cost and the immediate depreciation of a new car.

I thought again, my car is completely paid for-- and although I had originally thought of switching cars soon, why not just mod my 2002TL-S and enjoy it.

Anyhow, was thinking:

New brakes (rotors, pads)
tein SS-P (drop-in coilover) -- Anyone want my used Eibach Prokit springs?
upper strut bar.. (which one to replace the Type-s?)
DC Sports headers
Comptech Catback exhaust

requires deeper thought:
comptech supercharger.

Gimme your takes.. I currently have just under 70k miles on the car.

p.s. what size housings were the fog lights? 9006? I forget, it's been about 3 years since I've done anything to the car. And what kind of hyperwhite fogs are available for cheap.. (no silverstars..not that bright and expensive as heck, just want the cheap ones that burn out after a few months)

DO IT! DO IT!

I have installed most of my mods in the last month so I am a little TL crazy right now.

This is what I have done in the last 30 days...YES 30 days.

-INJEN CAI
-UR pulley
-Comptech axle-backs
-DC Sports headers
-Blitzsafe IPOD adapter with KUDA mount
-Lexan Lens conversion w/ Pure Yellow bulbs
-Blue and Hyper White LED interior package
-PIAA Super Sporzas wipers
-Custom Red sillicone engine hoses

So I pretty much have lost my mind!

Next up...I'm not sure on what kind of drop I want, but I'm leaning towards TEIN H-tech springs and new shocks. (Tokico blue or KYB GR-2) Then I'm done! (I think)

Anyway I just wanted to share that I was in the same boat as you when I first bought my TL. I've been debating whether or not to start moding my car. I decided to jump in and I'm glad I did! Come on...you know you want to!

What's the concensus on Sway Bars and or Tie bars? Which ones will accomodate the Comptech headers? Just read that someone's comptech sway cracked?

Mmm... Comptech Supercharger!!!

I would do more to my TL if I could. I'm in school, I work for a non-profit, and I recently upgraded from my paid for 99 TL to my 02TLS, so now I have a car payment and a high insurance premium, and I like to take vacations that I can never really afford to take anyways!! Damn damn damn!!!

Once you get one mod you want to do another! It's almost addicting! Plus I've had some time off from work this month. I wouldn't have been able to do all of this under my normal work schedule. So I figured I try to get as much done ASAP. I bought everything new. So...everything on my list was about $1800...I did all the installs myself except the pulley.

I just need some minor suspension mods then I am done!

Yeah I lost my mind! (but I'm having fun doing it)
