Post Goodbadmas install pics.....

Prashant supplied me with all the equipment and I did the install....It's a sherwood 5.1 dolby digital setup that I ran off the stock headunit, used the stock speakers and sub with the new amp, decoder, and digital cd player, playstation 2. I added pioneer ts-t22 tweeters in the door. I was AMAZED at how good the sound quality was with the stock speakers and sub running off this system.

Took the coin holder and power source out of the dash and built the decoder in. In the center console I built in the digital cd player and put ps2 under the passenger seat. 2 5.6" monitors, tweeters in doors and 5.1 amp in trunk which I am making a cover for soon.

Good stuff Ron. Only thing I dont like is the carpet covering the EQ, just my personal taste though. Nothing against the install, it is sweet as usual.

looks great ron as usual but it is quite apparent that you have no problems taking a knife or sawblade to any part of the car to cut a hole for a tweeter or some other peice. but if that is what the customer wants i guess that is what the customer gets? personally i hope the people who own thease cars plan to keep them forever. if they do then i guess it's ok. but i cant think of 1 person who would be willing to pay even 1/2 the price of what an uncutup or otherwise undammaged car on the used market when it comes time to sell it. even with all the equipment. the cost to replace door panels and headreasts to sell the car to the used car buyer will suck whatever value that the car might have had. the type of people who are usually in the market for a used luxary car arent interested in video screens in the backs of the headrests and other audio equipment. but like i said if they plan to keep the car until it is time to take it to the junk yard i guess it is better to do it to a car that will last 200K miles worth of enjoyment. as much as i am a car audio nut and love the TL i would never consider buying a car that has been all hacked up like that but i guess if the owner dosnt care then it's not your fault.

Well, I'm gonna have to disagree with you a bit Kev, but I would tend to think that most people would want Tv's in there cars if they could afford it or know where to get it done without going out of their way. I think why alot of people haven't done it yet, is b/c they are generally lazy. But in most part you are right. And yes, the owners don't care, b/c that is what they want. I would do it if I had the $$$. Kev, I'm not trying to rip you or anything.

What kinda monitors are those?

Nice job again Ron.

PS, Get rid of that fuzzy stuff where the charger and tray is, looks outta place.

I made no comments about the fuzzy stuff because I knew damn well you werent gonna leave that there. Your installs are too nice to leave that as is.

Ron, could you give me a ballpark price on what you just did. I'm not so interested in a PS2 in the car as I would be a DVD player. But the displays in the headrest, video in Navi, tweeters in doors, an amp, etc. I'm way the hell over in Minnesota, but I highly doubt there is anyone in my area that does the same quality of work. I'd imagine you're booked from now till eternity, but could you shoot me an email with a ballpark price... I'd be willing to make the trek out there to have my car set up like those pics... Thanks.
