good ebay mufflers?

lol, im sure those 3 words dont go together. but i just want a muffler with a nice low hum to it and with a small tip, nothing over 3 and 2.5 is best. something like the comptechs. anyone know of a good one on ebay. i dont care if its cheap shit, as long as it fulfills my asking. anyone know or have anything?

If you a nice quiet hum, I would either get comptech or stay with stock. But if you want to get a lil louder, Magnaflow's wouldn't hurt. Dont get cheap brands to start with, you would prolly change it at the end, loosing money and wasting time IMO.

I was there to hear of AZ member's borla mufflers not too long ago, it reminds me of the comptech axle backs. It sounds good to whenever you're taking off. If you need another cheap alternative, you can go this route also

Comptech or magnaflow. Do a custom magnaflow exhaust setup if you dont want to spend the money on comptech. Do a Search for them on this site for the part #s used by other members.

Acura TL Exhaust BOV Turbo Sound

Do you want your car to sound like it has a turbo without spending $5000 on an actual turbo. The Exhaust BOV installs on your exhaust tip and makes it sound like a BOV from turbo every time you accelerate and let go of the gas pedal. Sound will vary between engines and mufflers. Best results are produced on a 3 inch exhaust tip.

Its amazing what you'll find on ebay

I don't think ebay exhausts will SOUND bad on our cars, since its hard to make the J32 have that raspy civic sound. But the question is how long will they hold up. My friend has ebay mufflers on his accord and its been a year.. they are still holding up fine and sound pretty good.

I bought a pair of Tsudo mufflers off eBay for 150 shipped. They are the DC Sport SP2 knock offs but they have a 4.5" tip lol. Too big for your taste but they do sound pretty nice. Low deep sound. Not loud at all. I will be replacing the rest of the piping with 2.25" pipe later on along with removing the resonator. Headers make them sound better too. You don't necessarily have to spend like $1000 on name brand stuff to get what your looking for

In that thread ^ he shows you exactly what is done when removing the resonator. They basically cut it off and replace it with more pipe. The resonator basically keeps your car quiet.

I'll try and get the pics soon along with the sound clips. I suggest you mount the rear lip before the the mufflers, that way the guy can mount the mufflers so they dont hit the lip. I did it the other way around and i think the drivers side muffler may rub on the lip. They do fit on the slots if thats what you mean.

If they are real Borla mufflers they are FAR from being a "cheap" way out. Borla is one of the top exotic mufflers out there. People run them on custom Vette set-ups and some VERY high end cars... I'd buy a Borla muffler ANY day over a Magnaflow or Comptech...

Yes you take it out and replace it with pipe. All a resonator is, is like a muffler. Its designed to reduce sound. ANY muffler shop can do it in 20 min or less and shouldnt cost more than 30-40 bucks

I know your name already.. I'm just a lazy ass. Instead of using my memory, I just used the copy/paste route. lol

Aight, let me know how much it is with shipping.. I know it should be $151 all together since each muffler's $59 and only $33 for shipping ($30+3 for each additional item)
