Cool

Big mistake ! IS is to small and short on power. Consider a 330i, It will out handle the IS and be worth more in the end.
Good Luck

Dropped the IS300 from my list a long time ago. Here's why. I wanted to test drive it, so I went to the dealership and got in the driver's seat of one. My friend took the front passenger seat. The salesman was left with the back seat. I realized that the car was as small as a COROLLA when the salesman told me to move my seat up just so his legs would fit! Forget about sitting comfortably, he couldn't even fit. And it wasn't like there was a whole lot of room in the front either. So I ended up test driving the IS 300 with the steering wheel uncomfortably close to me. That's when I said FORGET IT. I am waiting for the TL-S baby. BTW AltezzaRokU, I am 18, so the TL-S fits me better.

Thats pretty legit to me. welcome to the board anyways, and just ignore the oafs who get a bit overzealous about the rivalry and such...you know WE think the TL's better right? j/k

Peace.

My point is an IS has a style that attracts younger buyers than the TL does.

oh.. and Red Hot TL.. modded vs modded... IS would win... i mean.. the TL is not the same class car as the IS......
The IS would outhandle it...
and if you are talking about power, the IS's
NA Supra 2JZ-GE engine just has more potential than the TL...

and the car is FF.. so there shouldn't even be that much to compare betwene the two...
The TL has more room and is luxurious...yet sporty

vandy786... i do agree with you.. i sat in the car.. and the dimensions were similar to my corolla...

anyways... i'm sure this topic has been brought up many times.. and its kind of whack..

both cars are nice... peace

It was a 5 speed with full leather, armrest, and navi. The 18's will not make it to production. Honestly guys, I think I will consider the IS300 5 speed as my weekend fun car. However, they do need to work on the engine a bit more. They will, sooner or later.

What a brilliant marketing job Lexus did to gear the $32,000+ IS 300 to the 18-25 age group.
Yeah, they're usually rolling in the dough at that age!
What a joke!

Any differences for the 2002 IS300, besides the addition of that station wagon? It will probably be the same I guess, nice looking car, but just to damn small!

Pretty much stay the same... just add stiffer suspension, 5spd manual, heads up display nav, and armrest....

Well matching your screen name, it does seem that you are made for the IS300, but if we all had more money, that Lexus GS430 would be the dream car to get. You know I just realized that the BMW 530i is not that impossibly obtainable. Another nice car.

Talking

Man you gave yourself away with your screen name in the beginning, Roku. Welcome to the board! But don't come to my domain and talk smack. The problem with the IS is that it is too damn small and interior is not as luxurious looking as TL's, but handling is alot better, but hey it's a nice car all in all. Oh I'm 21 also. But I prefer the TL. Can't we just get along?
