Getting ready for a weekend project, looking for some pointers
So I'vd got an 03 TL type-s and just bought new front rottors, pads, and a set of Eibach Pro-kit springs. My boyfriend is doing the work for me, but before we get started we are looking for help on what to look for. Are we going to run into any known problems with the installation? Know any short cuts? Any help and sudgestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys/girls!!
Whoo! I'm glad I've got my first post out of the way!!!

When doing the rotors, make sure you have an impact driver handy (can get one at a local auto parts store). There are set screws that hold the rotor in place and they can sometimes be a PITA to remove; an impact driver makes short work of this.
Good luck and post pics of the new whip before and then after the work is completed!!

or a drill to drill out the screws, if they are really rusted in there. Also having a secondary jack handy helps with the shock/spring removal so u can jack up the suspension to allow some maneuverability.

- Use some Liquid Wrench on those pesky retaining screws a few days, then a few hours, before removal. Then Impact Driver FTW ($25 at Sears; maybe a freebie loaner at AutoZone).
- Impact Driver on the Retaining Screws: 1 or two whacks!! in the "tight" direction to break loose rust, then 1 or two whacks!! in the "loose" direction to start them turning out.
- You'll need a Spring Compresser and Torque Wrench - Freebie Loaners from AutoZone.
- Spring perch/ Shock tower have to be properly aligned. See the DIY/Service Manual Scans below. You can REALLY F things up if you don't do this correctly.
- You don't need to Hammer the Rotors off. Some Liquid Wrench and a couple of M8 x 1.25 bolts is all it takes - see the DIY below.
- Check and/or print the following DIY's:
