gauges
It will fit but your TCS light won't work because the VSA light on the TypeS is in a different spot. You're better off putting in a reverse indiglo gauge, much cheaper, looks as good as a type-s, and all the lights work.

Use the following link to remove the gauge cluster. http://www.acura-tl.com/faq/faq.php#8c
Then take out the glass part and slide in the indiglo gauges, just be sure not to pop out the needles or you're screwed, it hard to recalibrate some of those needles. Use the double sided tape provided to screw the gauge to the stock gauge. Reinstall. Then wire the ground, an connect the positive to #3 plug on the back of the fuse panel. Everything is plug and play. I won't recommend letting some1 else install it, they might pop the needles off.

The indiglo you showed looks great. Is there a version for the Type S? I've never done the electrical stuff on a car yet so I don't know jack about how to install them.

these are reverse, they have a blue back ground, it can switch to the greenis color, i can change the # color or just light up the #'s or just light up the back ground. as far as where can you get them? i bought them off a member who never installed them

i got a 2003 TL type S gauge working on my 2003 TL - P . I wired up the TCS light to come on with the VSA and the exclamation mark.
so you can get a type S gauge working perfectly on a non type S TL.

Through out the whole time, I thought you had Type-S, Steve.

What i just realize is that the other difference is the red line for Type-S is 500 rpm higher. You can red line it longer.
