How Much Gas In The Reserve When The Gas Light Is On?

 

For A 2000 Acura TL

 

I tested this once I believe. Pretty sure its just over 3 gallons.

IIRC, it's 2 gallons.

but 90% of the people in that thread say 3-3.5

 

for a gen2TL the tank holds 17.3
the low level light activates at 3 gal remaining
of which approx 2.5-2.7 are `useable fuel`--able to be picked up and keep engine running

Basically when the light comes on you have 50 miles to find your favorite brand.
do NOT run a fuel injected car out of fuel on purpose--very bad for it

 

best way to know is when it comes on fill up your tank. What ever that total is subtract from 17-17.3 and that is the amount left in your tank. Mine is a little over 3 when it comes on.
