I have OBX headers and the comptech icebox.

I've noticed my gas mileage getting worse (about 20 mpg, I used to get 22/23 mpg) before the installations. I've tried to drive normally, but still the same results.

Is this normal? Or is the more hp just sucking more gas? Or is my reasoning messed up, and my mpg should INCREASE, since airflow is much less restricted?

 

I am not sure about the header but after I installed the ICEBOX, the MPG actually went down to about 20mpg for the first two weeks. After that, it started to climb back up to 22-24mpg. I am hoping it would go higher.

Hm...ok, thanks for the info....I just got my icebox in on June 6th, so maybe I'll see an improvement soon.

 

well have your driving habbits change any? I know that when I got my mods, I drove like a madman. Try driving the same way after getting a refuel & see what happens. UZ mite get the same gas mileage, your mods only increase airflow.
