Cool FYI

I'm sure to most of you Acura fanatics this is already common knowledge, but I thought I'd share this with everyone, in case they didn't already know all this. I found this online.

Integra: The Integra will shift up in size, features and price to move away from the Mitsubishi Eclipse and Toyota Celica. The model most likely will lose the Integra name to an alphanumeric
designation, possibly RS.

The redesigned 2002 model will be available only as a coupe and will be based on the redesigned platform for the 2001 Honda Civic. It will be assembled in Japan and arrive here in spring of
2001. The GS-R version will boast 220 hp and a six-speed manual transmission.

3.2CL: The model was just launched; it?s on a five-year cycle.

3.2TL: Acura has performance editions in the works to match the CL Type S with 260 hp and a five-speed automatic transmission. A reskin is planned for the 2002 model year; suspension
settings will remain softer for what is considered a sport sedan. A redesign comes in the 2004 model year.

RL: For the 2003 or 2004 model year, Acura may install a 4.0-liter V-8 engine believed to be under development. A six-cylinder version would be the price leader and the V-8 version
would be the luxury leader and halo car.

MD-X: Acura?s new sport-utility will arrive this fall with a 3.5-liter V-6 and seven-passenger seating. Designed to outdo the Lexus RX 300, the Acura is bigger and has a more powerful
engine. The MD-X is based on the Odyssey platform and has four-wheel independent suspension.

When the Honda brand receives a model based off the MD-X for the 2003 model year, the Acura engine will get bumped to 3.8 liters.

NSX: The two-passenger, midengine sports car soldiers on for a few more years, but a major redesign is in the works, although the timetable is unclear. Acura is considering a
front-mounted 4.0-liter V-8 and rear-wheel drive. The vehicle?s high production cost has engineers debating whether to use steel instead of aluminum for the car?s structure.

Don't tell me the RS-X is going to be based on the new Civic's platform. If so, then there goes the double wishbone suspension and hello to MacPherson Struts.
