frozen windshield washers

Hey guys, (and yes, I've searched here and the web)

My window washers the nozzles always freeze in the cold, and I use the washer fluid that suppose to work in -20F weather.

Whats the secret of solving this problem? Can I add alcohol to the mix? Give me your ideas.

hmm... my suggestion - move to Miami! hehe, anyways, on to a more serious note, the washer fluid thats supposed to work in colder weather does actually work. I actually had just brought up that question out of curiosity to my uncle who is back home in Canada, and he says he never had a problem. I would just go to the auto store or call the dealer and ask... sorry I couldn't be more help!

warm the car for a lil while before you use them so they can defrost

One word: Rainex

The only brand you should trust. lol i sound like an informercial.

Some cheap 2$ washer fluid freeze in cold temperatures. I live in Montreal and it was -30ish celcius degrees here. I was driving on the highway and boy it was a bad idea to turn on my wipers, after 3 swipes, my whole windshield was frozen. So now i only une rainex, it's a bit more expensive but it won't freeze in extreme temperatures.

are you using the blue stuff?? cause that stuff is really only ment for summer use

i typically go with a deicer type fluid in the winter. ive never had mine freeze up in the winter, even when it was -15 F a week or so ago
