Post Front Rotors Recommendations

Im in need of replacing my front rotors but I'm looking for some advice on brands or any personal reviews. I have been searching through the forums and found that the brand Brembo is popular but people have a problem with rust or "black dust" on their rims.

Any suggestions or know of any retailers with good prices?
Also, would zinc rotors be the way to go?

There are so many brands to choose from.

Brakemotive, Power Stop, Brembo, Stoptech. My opinion is to buy a set of brakemotives with a quality brake pad. If you want better to best buy a set of stoptechs with a quality brake pad.

Note: It is recommended to change the brake pads when you install a new set of rotors.

Zinc Coating is just not strong enough at least in my EBCs it didn't last even a week before the coat started to fade. You want painted rotors in Black or in any Color preferably Powder Coated!! If you can get painted Rotors it will outlast the Zinc Coat for sure.

whats your budget,,100-200-300 we can steer you to serious braker brakes that are awesome on the street, a caliper switch that improves braking torque,SS brake lines

get rotors with pads matched to their design, ie same maker ebc rotors and pads
I run RacingBrake Brand
see our Black Market Sponsored Sales threads for ads from our approved vendors
mrheeltoe and exelerate are the 2 big brake guys. I see a thread from adams rotors on the main page of gen2, ck them out

to keep brake dust from adhering to rims- wax and buff rims on boths sides with 2-3 coats of SYNTHETIC car wax. that's the trick

brake dust is natural and means the pads are working- wearing slightly with use
I will use semi metallic pads over ceramics

I put NAPA's top of line rotors and pads on the front 4 years ago...they have performed very well...only now starting to get a bit of shimmy when stopping.
I drive mostly highway mind you, and that helps.

I'll install them again even if the car might not make it that far, LOL

Good Luck...

The STOPTECH front rotors for the 2G TL/CL have a Power Alloy composition, curved vanes and black e-coating. IMO it's the best rotor for the price.
