Front License Plate Mount

Does anyone know what size the screws are for our front license plate mounts?

The mounting bracket is held onto the body by 2 - 10 mm bolts.

About 2/3 of the car is held together with 10 mm's.

Is it legal to put the license plate inside the car, on the windshield (passenger side)?

You could get away with it if you tell the popo who pulled you over that your front license plate mount is broken or missing a bolt and you plan on replacing it asap.

Fortunatley in Ohio front plates are not a high priority even though it is required. I've been running with out one for 12 years without a problem. Of course, I haven't been pulled over in over 20 years.

Mine too . I bought the car used, and the license plate bracket must have chipped away at the paint so they filled it in (along with a few other spots) with generic white paint (not WDP, it's not even pearl). Of course, I didn't find out until I took off the plate...

Bitches......... you would think that Acura woulda put a pillow behind there so the bumper wouldnt get damaged, but of course not.

I did the upside down liscence plate thing. You gotta shave some of the bracket off....... its kind of a learning process..... or cut to fit thing, I still had to use some zip ties otherwise the plate would stick out at the bottom...... dont worry you cant see the ties even if your looking for them.

Give it a shot you'll see what I mean, it only took about 10 minutes to do and looks much better.

^^ I took one of those foam things from the cd spindles and put it behind mine to keep the new paint safe. It seems to work. No new impressions on it for now.

My license plate, on the other hand, has a HUGE dent in it from some time ago. Wish I could remove mine. CA law requires it. Probably gonna relocate it soon though.

Mine has a slight impression on it from the previous owner, but it's not bad. If you are honest with the cops and tell them that it really takes away from the looks of the car, they usually laugh and just let me go. If not I plead not guilty and they never show up in court. KNOCK ON WOOD, I haven't had a problem since my Integra days.

Are you sure yours doesn't have the holes? They aren't on the front of the bumper, they are underneath the top part of the lower grill.

All of them should have it underneath the bumper, but having the holes on the from of the bumper is ridiculous. Im so glad mine didn't have that, but if it did I would just put some LED's in that shit........ hahahahaha j/k
