front licence plate

i was wondering if anyone has ever fliped the front licence plate bracket over so that the plate is over the lower grill instead of the bumper...im thinking this would look better then having it on the bumper..i was wondering if the bracket would fit that way..anyone think so?

You will need tie wraps because you can't just use the same screws to hold it. It will looks pretty nice cause I've done it before, but it will block parts of your radiator.

Been There, Done That and It Looks GREAT on my car! It will look great on yours too. Forget all that tie-wrap crap, make a strong, simple bracket like I did and it will stay straight and tight for the life of the car. Here's the link. Scroll about halfway down to see a pic.

It won't make your car overheat and tie wraps are cheaper and easier to take off if you decides you don't like it.

I am also in NJ. I know it is illegal, but I have had my from plate/bracket off of my '01 TLP, '03 CLS6, and '03 Accord Coupe. So far I have been lucky and not got any tix.

For what it's worth...

I wish i had made up a bunch when i did mine. I could have sold quite a few. I really dont have the time right now to take mine off and go measuring all the parts to replicate it again. If had had a bunch made up, I probably would have sold them for about $40 a pop.
