I have a squeak coming from my front end while going over small shudder bumps. I noticed that I have a torn boot on my driver side lower ball joint. Is this pretty typical on a TL with 120k miles? Do the sway bar bushings ever start to squeak?

 

I had my 2 lower ball joints and my passenger side CV axle replaced today by a Honda/Acura specialty shop. I bought my own (MOOG) ball joints and had them install those since I have had good luck with MOOG. Does $350 for both of my supplied lower ball joints installed and a new CV axle sound reasonable?

 

did that fix the squeak?

 

Price is on the high end, but not too ridiculous. I was quoted for about $330 for one ball joint, parts + labor at the dealer (ball joint is only like $25 anyway). So I'd say that's an ok price.
