Wire it to the power of the radio. The radio is always on so the footwell lighting will always be on.

Use a rocker switch. Small, simple, and easy to mount.

your owners manual should clear that out, you should also unscrew that bolt up top to gain access to the wires in the back.

No it doesnt matter, as long as you found the harness your just gonna have to test which is pos/neg by trial and error.

so should i just tap in at the harness for the radio? so tap in yellow and black (pos and ground) from right behind the radio, and go from there?

once you found the pos/neg wires, tap into them, seal the connections, and the rest should be easy. And since your installing the switch, dont forget to turn the lights off when the car is off or else you end up with a dead battery.

I know of a neat little place to hide the switch, it's where I plan on hiding mine. Slide the arm rest forward and mount the switch in the space there, very clean IMO.

Sneaky Sneaky lol

I have my footwell lights hooked up to the fuse box (tapped into the sidemarker lights). Once my side markers go on, they go on.
