k here is my dilema. i recently bought an 03' TL-P. ssm with black int. now the issue is with the fog lights. they were both broken when i got it. well actually one was smashed to hell with standing water and brown gunk in there that im sure that accumulated over the years. the other was cracked but had water also. well i disassembled them today to check and see what condition the chrome was. and yeah its trashed. now what im wanting to do is make em new again. but im tossing around a couple of ideas. tell me what you think would look sharper. here are my plans for my car. thanks in advance for you input guys
- comptech springs (bought today)
- oem lip kit
- 5% tint (f) limo (r)
foglight ideas
-strip chrome and paint housing black
-strip chrome and color match
-strip chrome and paint housing gunmetal
-bite the bullet and buy a new set
-paint glass yellow with the black or silver

That is one horrible looking housing. Sorry to hear of your dilemma. Since you aren't really gonna use them, I say paint them whatever color you want. I would say black would be best.
And for the lens, you can make them yourself. There is a DIY somewhere in the board. Forgot where though, but all you need is a lexan sheet, silicone, and a dremel or similar rotary tool. I made one myself with lexan from home depot and they still look and work great.
Also, my chrome was damaged too, but from the rocks smashing into the lens. Bent the metal on the side of the foglight too. Thank god the rock missed the bumper itself.

I had a crack in my passenger side fog light when I bought my TL oh so long ago. The inside of the fog light was thrashed. I bought a new one and immediately put rockblocker over it...guess what...it still cracked again.
My lexan lenses are on the way right now to replace the glass on the cracked fog. Rockblocker did nothing more than minimize the crack that occurred from being larger. Apples to apples in my book.
