1999TL to 2007TL conversion?

I've seen Ferrari and Lamborghini replica kits. Is it possible to have a body kit replica of a 3rd gen TL and have it applied to a 2nd gen TL. My 99Tl runs perfect and the interior is mint,It also has XM radio and Navigation, but I do like the newer TL's body style. Now before I go out and put a $10k down payment on a 2004 TL(Certified Used), I would like to know if a body kit/replica of an 2004-2007 TL is available/possible.

Uh...what?

Are you asking if you can put the 3rd gen body kit on a 2nd gen? No it wont fit.

OR...are you asking if you can replace the entire exterior with a 3rd gen? Oh wait, you were joking...

Get a TSX, you'll be more than happy

Don't think there are many kits, but if you put in enough money you could get it done. Don't see why you would want to though. If you like the 3G styling, get a 3G .

So, $10k would be better put towards a used 3g TL or a newer TSX, thanks....I kinda would of liked to see if it was possible, but if doing it would cost more then $5k, Id rather by a Certified Pre-Owned TL or TSX. Thanks for the info. On a side note, has anyone thought of moddifying a 2-Door 2004-2007 Accord V6 with a 3rd Gen TL front and back, basically creating a modern CL.... Another Cool Idea.

theres no way a whole 3g kit car would cost 5k.... an 03 front end conversion costs about 5k alone

That an 03 conversion would cost $5K? I didn't think it was that much, but if you say so.

for an 03 conversion thats alot... the 3g tl has alot of expensive parts. THe headlights along are 1k for the bulbs, balast, projectors and housing unit from acura, then the cost of fenders, bumper etc. would total much more than 5k.

Not to mention that after spending all this money to get the conversion done, the car it was done to wouldn't be worth anything, no resale value at all, unless you find someone looking for a 3G on a 2G chassis.
