Question Fog Switch Wiring Diagram/Schematic

I'm trying to use a PIAA harness with the Factory 2nd Gen Fog Switch....

Does anyone have a diagram that shows what each wire is for that goes into the switch...

I don't want to fry the switch by soldering wires in the wrong place.

Thanks In Advance,

Jeremy aka The Doc

1. White/Blue - Ground side of indicator light (green light that shows fogs are on)
2. Blue/Red - Power to passenger side footwell relay
3. White/Red - Power from headlight switch
4. Red/Black - Power from taillight relay
5. Red - Connection to dash light brightness controller

I dont know from which direction is the pin 1, but that is what all 5 pins are in that order. It is either 1 on top or 5 on top.

so with a PIAA harness that's hardwired directly to the battery? I would only solder which ones?

see my car is a 2000 tl that didn't come with fog lights so the harness is completely diff.

yeah, but if you bought the 02-03 TL fog light switch then that is the wiring code. I'll take a look and I'll see what suggestions I could make. maybe if you want to post any wiring diagram you have it would make it easier for me to tell you what to do.

Pin 1 is towards the bottom of the switch and Pin 5 is on the top as per the diagram I have.

To test and make sure, just check for continuity between Pin 1 and 2. So it should be on top or the bottom. Easiest way to make sure.
