Question fog light kit by autopia?

Ayo!

What's up to all the other members of this fine 'zine. I was wonderin' if anybody has tried a fog light mod with this sellers product. It is a ion projector fog light kit that has an LED ring around it...Hmmm...kind of tight I think...

Here is the link to his EBAY auction.

Let me know what you all think. I am gonna do a fog mod to my 99... 'cause I need me some kind of fogs.

Got to get some sleep,

Peace

Not the greatest looking things but if you are willing to cut and your bumper and look for a cleaner look to things you can try the DIY section for a Civic foglight that fits quite well onto the 99-01 TL bumpers.

How am I self promoting? You think that I am sellin' these lights?...Nope!

I do Hate SPAM too!

By the way thanks for the quick responses...

I am merely testing the waters on these lights...So far only one thumbs up from L's TL and I might add I do intend to cut into the factory fog light location on my lower bumper to get a clean OEM look.

Hey I am new (Duh) and If y'all don't want to discuss this thread anymore so be it...Otherwise chop it up wit me...I am always open to new ideas and suggestions.

getting back to L's...Did you mean that you bought new Autopia lights or did you go with some other brand?

dude don't waste your time with those "lights". They look like toys. Go buy some Hella DE Fog lights and mount them if you want that style of light. Those would be a waste of money. As I'm in need of replacing yet another broken fog light on my '03 - I am trying to think if it's possible to remove the stock ones and mount the Hella DE's and not look bad (which i've used in the past on other cars and work awesome)

There are two popular fog lights to use for the 99-01 TL; the 01-03 Civic and 6th gen Accord (click on the link for the DIY).

Also refer to these (fairly recent) threads for some more info
- Fog Lights for 99TL
- fog lights in a 2000 tl

they wrent autotopia. It was some other brand. The Angel Eye part is hot. Especially around dusk and all you have is your parking lights and angel eyes on, but they may very well be cheap. The ones I had were but they were only $30 at the time and noone had done any DIY for foglight mods at the time. But if you wana get something gauranteed to last gra the 6th gen accord ones or the Civic ones and if u still want Angel eyes on em just grab the CCFL rings off of ebay.

it's not that bad, thing is they placed fogs on a TL that already has fogs so it defeats the whole purpose. if you struck those into the slots our 99-01 came with, i dont think it would be too bad.
so in the end, the only cool thing about that auction was the porsche

Hey Razzi,
maybe its just me but I like the pic of the TL ...and of course the Porsche!
But gettin back to your first idea I thought that I would use a hole saw that is the same dia as the light so you would still see the slots with their lines...How about that
Razzi?

I have a shitload of tools at my disposal and not to brag but I am very mechanically enclined....Heh heh...Oh yeahhhh I can see it now these lights all flush mounted in there and it would give me a good excuse to detail those slots....Sweetness ....I will keep you posted Razzi and L's...

Oh yeah y'all check out my upcoming post in the 2g directory I just washed "TL infinity" with my girls and I will take some sick flicks of her very soon

One Love Y'all
