It's happened to me. Some of the chrome has flaked off. I think the only fix is to replace it. It's just freakin' too expensive for the part. Maybe find one in a junkyard if you're lucky.

I tried to paint mine with Chrome paint and it looked like crap and the light output is decreased b/c the reflective surface isn't as bright. I would recommend just leaving it alone, if it ain't bad no one will be able to see it anyway.

I had the same problem and left mine as is. I cant remember what the exact price of the fog light unit is but its definately over priced.

I called the dealer, and they quoted my $199 + tax. They don't just sell the glass piece, which is broken on mine. Has anyone found the glass replacement by itself?

No, they won't sell just the glass. You have to buy the whole assembly. Last I heard, it was about $130 for one of them....But if you buy a new one, who's to say that it won't break after a week, month, year, etc.

Mine is flaking off because I've had a hole in it for a while, blew the bulb, water inside, etc. I'm going the Lexan route when I get around to it.
