Flashing Maintenance Required Light

It's been a while since ive posted a thread here but i noticed everytime recently that i start my car, the Maintenace Required light flashes about 5 times on n off. After that it's like everything is normal. Any ideas as to what might be causing this? Does this happen to anyone else? thankz!
