Hi,

Has anyone had a noise comming from the rear of the TL that sounds like a flapping piece of plastc or metal bouncing up and down against something whenever they drive on rough roads ? Any guesses on possible causes ? Loose muffler perhaps ?

it could be carbon deposits or loose particles in ur cat. converter. other than that all i can think of is loose exhaust pipes or something came loose on ur rear supsension. you should get it checked out at a dealership or get it on a lift and inspect it yourself

 

i had a noise like that...i looked in my trunk and it was those 2 metal rods that are for the trunk...the clip in the center that held them together..un cliped somehow..and i just cliped them back in...and it was alll good from there on....try it out and see if that was the problem
