Angry Damn it!!!

...and I just installed the wood kit a couple months ago! Hey - if I heat the pieces up will they come off?? CF would look good on my silver TL. But the wood pieces are very nice - no complaints!

You're still the man SNooK!

Bitium, Your a tease

Your didn't explain that the peices are only available by taking your stock pieces off, and to take off the door ones was not an easy task

Bitium is coming over today and we are removing my door pieces, and we will take photos, and do a write up on it

Just didn't want anyone thinking, that is was just a kit you bought

Tim

I didn't say it was a kit that you just buy. But it looks so good that people asume it was. .

Hehe.....I wish it was that easy. I think VDo (Vincent) used foliatec CF sheets.....ask him about it. The pieces I posted are very professional, top quality. The instructions we are going to post are for the removal of the factory wood pieces, NOT for the installation of the carbon fiber.......that is done by a company that does custom work and sells trim kits for many cars.

tl_kid116, I don't think you could do BA that way.....but this people can do it. Please e-mail sales@autocarparts.com for more info.

This is a coating put over our stock pieces. They"dip" the pieces and can make it look like Carbon Fiber or Brushed Aluminum
It is not that sheet stuff you buy and put over the top

We did this to my car this weekend (removed stock pieces)
We took pics along the way, and as soon as I have time, I will do a write up on how to take yours off, and how much and how long it is for you to get yours done

Those pieces look really sweet. Anyone have examples of brushed aluminum from the same place that did the carbon fiber? I heard from a poster on acura-cl.com a while back that it takes hours to remove the door pieces and involves removing the door panels and melting off plastic rivets. Hope you found an easier way because I'd love to change the look of the trim!

I would be quite interested in the brushed aluminum look. I am considering getting those alum racing pedals and might like the whole sporty look. Acutally that was about the only impressive thing on the 2001 20th Anniversary Maxima SE that we were considering against our Type S.

hehe its a real hot car but its not mine... its inspirefreaks i found in on one of the threads. i was doing a search on CF and BA to replace the stock pieces to see how they look. Bitium if you can please post a pic of the CF trim. I dunno which one looks better on a Silver on Black TL. and one of the reasons im thinking about the BA is because if i ever get a TV i want the panasonic one and its silver and it will match the BA better then CF or the Stock wood would.
