I finally got my letter for a ignition switch recall for my 99 TL. My car used to run fine, then it started misfiring every once in a while at idle I was like WTF?!@! anyway this recall explains it and I'm going to go to the dealer at the beginning of september. I hope the dealer will fix my strange misfiring without a hassle AND WITHOUT INCIDENT!

funny, I went to the dealer like a month and a half ago and he told me I probably got bad gas

Go back to the dealer and look for the same fool who told u that and GIVE IT TO HIM!!!

 

pull out your faulty ignition switch and beat him with it

 

i got that in the mail to. It said something along the lines that the vehicle may stall on the highway making it hard to control and may result in serious injury, or even death. Freakin scary if you ask me.

 

I got the letter too. Already made an appointment with the Springfield Acura. By the way for thos who are in Northen NJ Springfiled Acura is much better that Montclair or any other Acura dealer around..

 

Sure Springfield is nice but I got my car from Bridgewater acura... i know its better than Montclair.... just stay away from the Open Road Acura guys... i went there to test drive the car, sure the guy gave me a test drive and then when i wanted to go and see how much the pricing woudl be, he said that he was booked with appointments and id have to come back some other time.... with that type of treatment i just said bounced , never to return.... but Bridgewater has a nice lot and they even carry an NSX on the floor... combine that with a bigger lot and a hot secretary, I wudnt mind going there for services
