Few Things to FIX...

Hey all, now I have to replace few things here.
Front engine mount, alternator belt, and idler pulley. I am currently at 100,000km.
I got quoted for $ 350 CAD for those 3 parts including labor. I think it's a good price but what do you guys think?

Also I need to replace all 4 rotors and brakes. but my mechanic is telling me to just resurfacing rotors and replace pads. is that ok ?? And he is suggesting OEM pads to avoid noise problem. (around $400 to resurfacing and replacing pads) Is that true? Is there any good after market pads that do not make problem?

Any suggestions or comments???

That cost too much, you can buy aftermarket pads for around 100, Rotora h2 ceramics, EBC greenstuff, ETC. Why would resurfacing the rotors and switching the brakes cost more than buying new rotors and brakes?

I think that's a little high.

hey bro..just noticed your from BC...

anyways... I would let acura do the engine mount, but the rest can be done at other shops.

btw... how much are they charging you for replacing the front engine mount?

I might need to bring mine in for a fix as well.

Why cant it be done at other shops? Of course it can be done any where. They will just have to get the part from the dealer

Hey man, I see you are from Vancouver also. good to see you here.
The dealer is charging over $300..like $320? plus tax just for the engine mount. I
think that's too much. Where as I can replace all these 3 things for that price. (Engine mount, Alt belt. indler pulley). They are using the ACURA parts. not after market. So it's way cheaper.

Yeah, I thought that's too much also. Just like you said, I could get all 4 rotors and pads for that price. But I am afraid that they will make noise problem. My machanic is saying that I should replace with OEM pads to avoid any issues.
But is is really true?? I think after market ones are just as fine. Do you have any certain brand that you can recommend?
