feels like stuttering..

hey guys, you konw when you are at a stop (like when it's raining/snowing) and then you sorta accelerate too fast and you slip and tcs kicks in and the dashes/front end of the car rattles/vibrates a little bit? (hopefully this is normal when tcs kicks in!) well, i get the same feeling now when i accelerate slowly from a stop from about 25-35mph the car feels like it's stuttering(dunno if that's the right word) ... sometimes when i accelerate normally to. but it's happeing more often. it happened beofre i just didn't think anything of it.. but now that its more often its starting to bother me, cause i know it' there. so wondering what it could be? and if anyone has this problem? and i know it's not tcs working cause the light does'nt flash and it's just impossible to slip sometimes considering dry pavment and it's just cold weather going 30mph.

i was seeing if i could make the "stutter" happen everytime i want to, but it doesn't. and i was seeing when it does come on, if i could like hold it but it comes and then goes. stutters for like 2 seconds. when the stutter happens, the car is still moving forward (no jerk or anything), just that when you're inside (me & my gf noticed) the front end vibrates like tcs is working..

Is it more of a vibration, or does the dashboard (or something inside) rattle?

Something could be loose under the dash if there's a rattle sound. It's happen to a couple of my cars in the past. No real fix other than taking out the dashboard and tightening everything down.

If it's more of a vibration, then there could be something bad with your drivetrain. I really can't narrow it down any further since it's hard to diagnose a problem like this online.

it's more of of the whole front end vibrateing. no distinctive rattleing sound like something is loose.. it's like driving... and you go over some 'rough' parts of the road... ie cracks, pebbles, just uneven road surface, and teh car vibrates, like that, but happening in the front end only.

freak2215 keep me updated.. hopefully its fixable and not to expensive. Mabye a tranny issue??? hopefullly!!! i'm at 90K now, only 10K left...

im getting a lot of rattles in front too, it might be now that its cold everythings not expanding from the heat and now some minor stuff is lose, theres a bulliten for that. Also yea its normal for the car to have a little vibration when the tcs kicks in because its using your ABS.

Errrr... transmission, anyone?

Knowing TLs, this is probably what's wrong. I'm just not sure your description was enough to get this reaction from other members. My 99 Accord has an automatic and it sometimes feels similar to your description, but only briefly, and it is clearly the transmission.

Anyone else agree?

Just Dropped Off My Car At The Acura Dealer They Say It May Either Be An Engine Mount Bracket Or The Transmission Is Going Bad And If It Is It Takes 1 Week To Replace...yikes.... I Dropped It Off At 12 So I Should Be Getting A Call Anytime Now

from the info given id say engine mount, or tranny. but typically the people who have had the failures here havent descrbed any shuttering while taking off.
are the wheels hopping while spinning while taking off in wet weather? ive noticed mine doing it more now and i know my struts are getting worn out and thats a symptom also, it may be that

exactly how it feels like for me... when they were "testing it out" to find the problem did they charge you at all?? did you have to pay for anything, i know the tranny is covered but any stuff they're gonna bill you for?
