Feeler: SSM on wood grain

okay guys, need some oppinion on a SSM tl-s with black interior, but i want to put wood grain trim and replace my current black wood. just wondering how it would look like, if anyone has done this before please post pics from looking at the wood grain from the outside. if it looks nice it might go well with my project for my interior.

im planning on getting wood grain interior and wood grain steering wheel.
i felt inspired from looking at a silver q45 with wood grain, but his interior was not black, it was more of a greyish color, so need some advice.

While some people are trying to get rid of the woodgrain look, you are trying to pursue it. I think the woodgrain look gives our TLs a more luxury side-of-things look. Sorry dont got any pics, I have beige interior.

I don't really dig that wood grain look, I prefer grey burl even though right now I have wood grain. Lexus' have wood grain on everything, the steering wheel tends to slip when I try to do a one handed turn with the steering wheel. I think its ok to go wood grain but just don't do the steering wheel its a hazard

So your outside will say "Sporty-Tuner", cuz thats what it saids now!! And your inside will say "Luxury-I'm in my 40's, want to show of I have money by throwing wood grain all over the inside of my car" If you want that look just get a lexus, jag, Mercedes. Not hating on you, just think the wood grain looks cheap/flashy and crappy. But it's your car/money, GO FOR IT.

Your outside looks HELLA TIGHT tho.

However, to be fantastical, I like brushed aluminum, carbon fiber, and REAL wood grain. But in our 2nd gens with regard to what is stock/plausible, I agree completely.

thanks, and yeah...trying to go for that lexus look, the outside will be going through changes also soon, its not going to look sporty anymore. I'm gonna try to get the car done differently from the rest out there, not that i dont think the oem kit is not nice, but it just a bit too sporty for my taste. some might say i might as well go and get a lexus/infiniti instead, but i want to make my car a little more luxury.

big changes in the future for the car outside and inside
oh and im not doing the whole inside wood grain, just the little trims like the doors, the side of the center console, wooden steering wheel, and maybe a wooden shift knob.

That Spec A look I am not too fond of. Almost looks like wearing a black dress pants and shoes with white socks. Some might like it, but it just doesn't flow for me.
