Hope this gets thru. Not having those diffusers is essentially on only reason for me not clearing out my headlights, next to not having an oven. Is there a price range that you are considering?

i need double the interest, roughly 50-75 people who acknowledge interest. because generally half the people who say they are interested with actually buy in.

Ok, what's the initial cost of production for these? Maybe with approval and all the red tape process you could do pre-orders to help keep the risk down. Also, we'd want to consider production times and quality control issues, etc. Still my question is, "What kind of money are we talking up front to get these things produced?"

it doesn't pay to do up front costs, if theres enough interest, i would get a mold made, and then produce mass quantity, it doesn't pay any other way. general with plastic molds like this, on the low end of orders, is a few hundred produced, where as i cannot see more than 100 need to be produced for our case, so as you can see, costs add up, as far as how much it actually will cost to make these... few thousand. so with that said, the only real way to do this is someone to pay up front (me), produce them, and then sell them... thats the quickest way. even if i got 20 pre orders, thats not worth it cost wise to make people wait while it's being made. 20 orders will barely cover the cost of the mold.

i guarantee you that more than the 22 people listed want these. how bout over on the CL or 3G tl forums? i know these are going to require different molds for each type of light, so that would present a problem.

have you tried registering over at some of the other popular acura forums? maybe with some people there and some members here, you could sell them all. it's not like they are going to go bad or anything so you could be selling these for a while, until they ran out.

and have you talked to Retrofit Source? i could see him wanting a bunch of these since he is clearing headlights for members. i think you could get rid of 100 sets of these.

well you guys keep asking about otherones that aren't 02-03 tl difussers and i think that its not gonna make a diference.....because the price is gonna be on whatever mold + the amount made from that mold.....having 3 diferent molds would get more people interested but won't cut overhead for the 02-03 tl difussers....

....and CleanCL why don't you start a new thread with a poll and copy the list and pics of the difussers over to clean this up a bit....also ask fsttyms1 to lock this thread if you do so.....i say you call it "clear corner gb?"

actually, i think they look good cleared, especially on SSM. But you need to use the chrome bulbs from pep-boys ($16 each i think) and some leds from auto-zone (the amber color match perfect). whole lamp looks clear/silver when the lights are off.

I spoke to people from Rick's S2k when i was a vendor for clear defusers for the TSX. These are the same guys who made the clear ones for 02-03 TL but are discontinued now. Cost was $100 and I was told that I needed to get a deposit for 20 i.e. 2000 dollars in order to get the process started.

The only defusers that they sell these days are for the AP1 S2k and they go for $95 and the TL ones, when they had them for sale, were around that same price as well.

Personally I like the clear look on the 02-03 TL.
