Question Favorite feature?

What's your favorite 'gadget' feature in your car? I'm looking at the TL/TL-s and am wondering what cool s**t I should know about...

My favorite features are the Navi is awesome! I like the zenon Headlights. I will never own a car with out NAvi or Zenon headlights. I previously owned a corvette, two 5.0 Liter mustang pursuit cars(old Dps CArs) and I previously owned a Z-28 that I drove 112K. I will not have a car that doesn't have great performance. The TL-type S fits the bill. Great performance with a great 5spd. auto tranny and yet I get about 27=28mpg. straight highway driving at 75-85mph!!

I would also say the Nav BUT, the auto tilt down passenger side mirror when the car is in reverse is pretty cool too.

You got hooked. The only way to watch DVD's in you TL-S with Navi is to have a DVD portable.

Top 5 Favorite things (in order):

1. Navi
2. Memory seats/mirrors
3. 6-disc in-dash changer
4. SportShift
5. Tilting right-side mirror on reverse

(Did I mention how cool the navi is??)

Top 5 Least Favorite things (in order):

1. No fold-down rear seats
2. Need 1-2 more inches headroom
3. Need telescoping wheel
4. Better audio control on wheel
5. Need manual 1->2 and 2<-1 shift on SS

But all that stuff is nitpicking at best. This car is by far the best I have ever owned....

With a Navi Decoder, you can watch DVD movies on the navigation screen. You can switch to Navi too.

Cool

1. Laser eliminator - blasts stupid drivers into oblivion
2. Missile launcher - in case Northern and Southern California ever
go to war!
3. Porno channel - 'nuf said
4. Air conditioned front seats
Wait - sorry - this is my WISH list. HA HA

The NAV is the best option I have ever had and I will never have a car w/o one again!

I like the silky smooth, effortless power, whenever I want it, but all of you with NAVI are really making me really wish I had opted for it. I wonder it they can retro-fit, and how much they would want for it?

I asked that question about retrofit, the salesman said they don't. I ordered mine with Navi and can't wait to click a button and for it to tell me where I can get a burritto, a beer, etc. I messed with it at the dealership and it was awesome.

I am telling you, once I saw the Navi in action, there was nothing the salesman could do to talk me out of it. I would have paid double for it ($4,000)!

Navi

My first test drive was with TLS/NAVI, the salesman brushed off the NAVI as a "gimmic". I don't think he knew much about it, and didn't spend any time showing its features. The rest of the car's features drew me in, however.

Top 5 features:

1. power of the engine
2. Sportshifter
3. 6-disc CD changer in dash (our 2001 4 Runner lacks this)
4. Love the stereo control on the steering wheel (4 Runner lacks also)
5. Xenon headlights (they just look tight)

I gotta go with the Navi also. When I first saw the interior of the CL-S in the car mags I knew I had to have that dashboard and center console. It is so cool looking, and the nav works great.

The second best feature has to be the sport shift. Being able to hold third makes ALL the difference when passing.

I didn't think the tilting side mirror would be so beneficial until I had to back up hill out of my driveway. I would have twisted my neck out of shape or scratched my car on the bushes had I not had that nifty little side mirror.

The in-dash changer will become standard equipment on most cars in the very near future. Although, a remote 12-disk changer would be just as good.

And let's not forget VTEC. That's the only way we could have this much power without sacrificing highway gas mileage in a 3.2 liter engine.

I don't believe it was a gimmick. In addition the $2K for the unit, you would need to replace the entire dash layout to accommodate for the screen.

It would be cheaper to buy the aftermarket Alpine unit.

Enough space in the back for 2 people to get busy.

p.s. I wonder if it'll be enough room for 3?

Talking

Nav.

I went to Cape Cod over the weekend and did not have to look at a hard copy map even once (except once when I was planning my trip at home.) I was using the Nav to navigate through streets along the coast for views. Now my wife is really convinced that the $2K is well spent.

If only them mirrors can automatically fold inwards at the press of a button like on the MB SUVs (at least the ML55 has them)...

Not really a standard feature, but I like the fact that the center console/armrest storage doubles as a cheap cooler. Ever notice that stuff in there gets fairly cold when you have the AC running, due to the fact that the ducts that pump air to the rear run underneath it?

My fav:

Memory seats tied into the remote control. Not that my wife drive this bad boy too often, but when she does, all I have to do is unlock the doors with the remote, and BAM I am back in business with my seat and mirrors set!

Of course, like everyone else: SPEED! I have a need for SPEED! :p

least Fav:

No auto-on lights. Small potatoes, but even the Malibu I rented last week had auto on lights- sigh.....

DRL would be nice to. However, a defeat switch is mandatory.

Eh? Really? I gotta try this out!

Does that mean that it becomes a toaster oven in the winter?
