Fair Asking Price?
Have the value of 2nd Gen TL's dropped that much? What's a fair asking price for an '03 TL-S in Excellent condition with just over 50K miles? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Absolutely and I've consulted NADA and Edmunds.....all are within the same range. Mine is currently listed below KBB for a Private Party sale ($18.3K) and I've had no interest. Maybe all the Acurazine members already have TL's? Just thought the vehicle would move a little faster at my asking price.

Acurazine members are more aware of the transmission problems than the general population. So they might be less willing to pay the estimated market prices.

In my opinion, you're probably fighting against the 04's and up. People who are looking in that price range are probably shopping (or at least wishful thinking) for the 3rd gen TLs. That close to $20k is a hard sell sometimes, as people are probably also saying "geez for another X thousand dollars I could get a brand-new X..."

Thnx for the feedback.
Guess I'd hope a buyer would take into consideration the extras (OEM kit, WW Spoiler, Tint, tires) etc. when making an offer. My asking price is definitely negotiable, but I think a grand or so below KBB is reasonable.

Oh Hullow
crack the 18k barrier ask 17,900 it looks a lot smaller to the average person than 18,XXX but dont leave much room for negotiation but just enough... 18k is going to be hard to manage. i got mine with the kit, spoiler, ipod adapter, navi for 15k ...it did have 70k on it though, but i think the 17s will get you a hit. good luck

Around here $18k is a good starting point to ask. Some are going for way more than that at dealerships. I got mine last year for $17.5k with OEM kit and 69k on the clock. I would try autotrader if you want to reach a large market.

It's currently at $17,499 in our Black Market (almost a grand below KBB). I also have it listed in AutoTrader, Craigslist, and a few other Web Forums. It's either a slow time of year to sell autos or the Used market in the state of Florida is not too hot. In the DC Area Used Hondas/Acura turned over very quickly.
