factory MP3 player unit

Does Acura or even Honda for that matter make a factory MP3 player unit that I can hook into my stock headunit and mount under my seat or in the trunk or something?

My buddy says Honda makes one for his Accord coupe, aparently it looks just like our navi units in the trunk.

I would rather have this solution over buying an ipod. If theres no such unit from honda/acura...... just give me a list of exactly what I need to buy to hook an ipod up withouth using the casette deck.

I'll take any bits of info on this, cuz I searched and could only find things on ipod, and cd-r info.

holla back

well, if you go the ipod route, Alpine came out with a unit (KCA-420I) that integrates the ipod to your system.

How is the Neo iON different than the Ice-link or Blitzsafe units?

With the Neo iON, Ice-link, or Blitzsafe, will I be able to control my ipod using the steering wheel audio controls?

Circuit City sells in the iPod section a piece that u plug into your lighter and through FM frequency plays your MP3's from your iPod. sounds ok to me when my friend tried in his car.

They are all basically adapters connected to HU's cd changer/aux port. Here are links to all three adapters. Neo iON, Ice Link+, Blitzsafe and all claim you can use the HU to control the functions. At this time, none of these are compatible with 3G with Navi and XM. So I'm back using a remote FM transmitter. Kinda sucks ........ well, not kinda, it does. Hope this helps you a little bit.

shit man, Blitzsafe says they are out of stock and dont know when they will be getting more in of the one that is compatible with factory navi units. Neo iON says they dont make one that works with factory navi unit cars. and Dension Ice-Link says on their compadibility page that they don't make one that works with Acura's.

BUT, since our audio isnt connected to our navi unit, like my moms Toyota Highlander where the audio controls are on the touchscreen, shouldn't any one of these units work as long as its made for an Acura headunit?
