So my factory "alarm" beeps once when I hit the lock button twice in a row on my fob, but no beeps when I hit unlock. My question is there any way to make it beep every time you hit the lock button, and can you make it beep twice when it unlocks the doors? My buddy has an RL and his works this way-kind of nice to have.

I have an 03 tls wdp, if you hit lock twice it will beep once. On the unlock, no beep at all. Hit unlock twice open all doors.

nah but the only way to get there is probably aftermarket. never heard of the OEM key fob mod before lol. i guess people think of everything

hook up a relay to the factory alarm disarm wire in the door. should be a blue wire at the window switch control module in drivers door. you would then have to locate either the factory alarm "siren" or just use your horn.

or you could get a decent security system and it will beep upon lock/unlock.

 

there could be a way to custom mod it so it always signals 2 times for every one depression of the button, with some electrical brains and soldering iron,

i am just glad out cars horn doesnt beep like everyone elses in the world wen you lock it, i hate wen people do that. (honk honk!!!!)

 

Is it just me or do these cars have insanely loud door locks. When I come home, I'll park the car then walk about 20 feet away and press the lock button. BAM, all the locks go down. Its very loud and I can hear it when I'm almost inside my house.

Beeping > Honking. Beeping door locks FTW! I feel like I'm special because out of everyone, my car beeps instead of honking.

I need a new key fob, mine has been to hell and back. They didn't hold up very well...

 

What I really want to do is one beep every time I hit the lock button, and two beeps every time I hit the unlock. Like the RL.

I like the beep much more than the honk. One thing our cars do bring to the table is they actually have a good horn tone instead of that typical japanese mfr. style.
