Factory bodykit and mud guards

Have any of you guys put a factory bodykit with mud guards on ? How about lowered with mud guards on ? I have a feeling it is going look tacky if the side pieces can even fit on with the mud guards on.

When I lower my car, I'm probably going to take my mudgards off. I'm pretty sure that they would scrape, but even if they don't, it would probably look better that way.

At stock height, I think the car looks better with mudgards on, however.

ehh, take em off, they look corny and take away from the sportiness of the car. When i see a TL driven by a young person it usualy has no mud gaurds on. But when i see older people driving it i ususaly see the mud gaurds on. Personally it takes away from the cars looks overall. And with a kit it would look just bad. I dont think they would fit anyway, because the mud gaurds are shaped to the body and go down to where the skirts meet the fenders.

Exclamation Won't Fit!

FYI. Mud Guards won't fit over the OEM Body Kit and must be removed to install the side rails and rear skirt.

That's because the older folks are a bit wiser and know that it's more fuctional to put mud guards on. But yeah, I had both mudguards and the bodykit, but had to remove the guards as soon as the kit came in. Not sure about the looks wise, since it is true about the saying "to each his own," but the mud guards definitely served their purpose when driving through lite puddles. Personally I've seen some white toyota solaras with matching color mudguards and they looked pretty decent.

Huh-Huh...You're Old

Dude,

LOL! Yeah...the "old" people win this round, bubba.

I dig my mud-guards! Let the "young" people clean the crap off the underside of their cars because they're too "cool" to have mud-guards! :p

Tar

Unless you have a underbody kit, you should have mud guards. Save you a bunch of trouble if you happen to drive on newly tar-paved road.

Cleaning those off is a *****.

Painting the factory mud guard cost quite a bit (to do it right). If you don't want it to peel, you have to go thorugh the sand-prime-paint process. And do it again if it scarches the ground and cracks the paint.

I think if you look closely at some painted Toyota mud guards, at the tip of it, there is some softer black plastic edges to take some beating.
