My battery is fine and it is well over 2 years. I drive daily and I do have a sub hooked up with the battery. You can always get another battery if you are not comfortable with the original one.

My 2000 TL is almost 3 & 1/2 years old with the original OEM battery still going. I don't have anything extra in the car other than factory Nav. I would not go into another winter without replacing this battery.

Three years is about the right time to change the battery, as 4 will almost certainly leave you stranded with the added worry of damaging your alternator...

I think the OEM battery is awesome. Had it for 3 years and 97k miles. One time I was working on the car and I forgot to reconect the alternator. I drove with A/C, radio, etc for about 20 miles all from the battery until my lights started diming and my TC light came on and little after that my ABS light came on and finally my car shut-off, that is when I found out that I had left the battery disconected, but in ony took 2 minutes to to jump start the car and reconect the battery, all good now.

in the end it ended up bein loose battery cables go figure mechanic said the basically fell off the battery when he took the cover off....its all good they ran checks on the battery, starter, and alternator just 2 be sure and the also replaced the headlight that was gettin water in it took about 1 1/2 to get it all done....so guess the battery isnt that bad.........

Yep, the battery cables need to make good contact to the terminals. These things need to be maintained like the rest of the vehicle.

No, they are not pretty good. They are cheap ****. I have a brand new MDX and it starts like a five year-old battery, just like my TL-S. My Explorer had a nine year-old heavy-duty Die Hard when I sold it, and it never burped. Not once.

Honda/Acura puts cheap 2-year batteries in our cars with weak alternators. It's hard to tell which is the problem. I just hope the MDX battery makes it to the end of the 4-year lease.

I would disagree the original factory battery is okay.
I have had 3 new Honda cars other than the TL.
Not counting the first one 1980 Prelude the other 2 were 90&94 ACCORD. The 90 ACCORD battery I replaced after 3years but the original one was still working. The 94 ACCORD I had to replaced after 3 & 1/2 yrs it just died one mourning. This is why I am going to replace the TL battery soon its 3 almost 3 & a half yrs old. I will most likely get a SEARS Diehard Gold. They have a 3year full replacement warranty on them. Thats what I put in the 90 & 94 ACCORDS.
