Fact or Fiction: Problem Tranny Redeigned?
Fact or Fiction: Problem Tranny Redeigned?
Fact or Fiction: Has the problem transmission really been redesigned or is Acura
STILL just putting in the same refurbished units?
I have read a few posts where people have been told that the tranny problems
have been fixed. If so, does anyone know of the exact modifications made?
We all know about the 3rd gear clutch pack failure and surounding faults in the
unit. I'd be curious to see what has changed.
I've got a 2001 that has on rare occasion acted a little quirky but nothing serious,
and nothing that is has done dome from the first day. I am (as we all are) hoping
that when and if it fails it will be a one time fix.
Thanks,
/Steve

More Junk Trannies
After talking to 2 supervisory level people at Acura and the service Mgr at the dealership, I have yet to get someone to tell me that the trannies are fixed..Redesigned, yes, fixed no..So, who the frick knows, it is a shame that you can't call and get a straight answer but everyone I have talked that works for Acura has played the razzle dazzle bullhshit game, when I asked about the trannies being "fixed". Bottom line..from my conversations with acura, it appears they are not fixed.
