Cool Face Mask

I would like to know anyone's experiences on the full nose mask for the TL Type S. Good or bad.

Thanks,

I just put the top part on the hood. I didn't put the bottom part yet. You just need to remember to remove the mask once in a while, and make sure you remove it when it rains.

YEAH! What he said.
Also, the lower piece will not fit a TL-S with the body kit.

I bought mine from this site and I just installed it today. I love the look. Gives the car a more aggressive front, while protecting the paint from rocks and bugs. I don't think I will remove mine every time it rains. I did make sure that the hood was clean and waxed before I put the mask on. Here's what someone else on this board told me :

No I don't remove it when it rains. I've got bras on all my cars and the way I see it, If it screws up the paint underneath (which it really doesn't), I don't care because I'll always have a bra on it to cover it up.....

Hope this helps.

I love my full nose mask. It's never been in the rain, so I don't know if it really would get musty underneath. I had a LeBra on two of my cars and almost never took them off and the paint on those cars was perfectly fine after years of wearing a bra. I would just put 2 coats of wax on the nose once a year. I am not sure how what I'm going to do with the Type-S though... Taking off the mask after it gets wet seems extreme.

You don't have to take it of everytime it rains. I leave mine on on the rain. I just take it off at least once a month to clean whatever got stuck underneath it. (Leaves, pine needles, bees, etc.)

Ditto. I had the top bra on my black Civic for 7 years. Just make sure you clean and wax before you put on the bra and clean it a couple of times a month. (I put the bra in the washer to clean it well.) You'll see dirt get built up underneath it after a few weeks esp. after rain. Hope that helps.

Unhappy

I had a bra on a '93 Legend and I let it on after it rained. The paint on the hood and fender was OK but the bumper got a white haze on it that could not be removed by buffing or polish. I had a good coat of wax on the car and it was clean when I put the cover on. I am trying to decide if I want to use the Acura Bra on my NBP TLs. Colgan makes the best one's but they don't have the pattern yet for 2002.
