F### Jiffy Lube

They did a change in CO when I had no choice, the threads are all pulled, what can I do to take care of this and make Jiffy Lube pay for a pan?

This is gonna take a lot of phone calls but I wouldn't waste your time calling the exact store you got the change from. Rather, you may want to call Jiffy Lube's main office and tell them the whole story. It would be hard to prove that nobody else got under the car and over-tightened the drain plug but then again, it did hold oil when you took it in. I mean, you DID drive it in there, didn't you? So it may come down to a settlement of splitting the difference of a new pan and they do the labor to replace it.

Probably not what you want to hear but it's hard, if not impossible, to prove a negative such as after you left the shop that someone didn't get uder there and not over-tighten the plug just to make a claim.

It would leave me pissed off in the end too but I've been the legal business a few years now and things like this probably won't come out theway you want it. Well, not totaly anyway.

Is it feasible that I get half of it at least, no f'n WAY IN HELL are those damn butchers gonna put the pan on...dealer or another shop all the way. The plug and the way the threads are, it looks as if they had IMPACTED the thing on. I will definitely try and give jiffy a call. For now we have tapped it out and plugged with a makeshift setup, this should let me get home and to the dealer to get it all fixed. Damnit I wanted to see how those sways did...
