Extremely Modded Engine

I just saw an episode of "Rides", a show on TLC and it showed a corvette w/ a laptop in the passenger seat. The driver was able to make changes to his performance on the fly and he modded it w/ hardware and the computer to have 1200hp. I was wondering if anyone here had there laptop connected to they're car's computer and it this possible w/ the TL. I included the site below of this guys setup.

What's even more amazing is that he has a full lift in his home garage.

edgalang did you get to see the episode or you were speaking of the website. Anyway I think that setup was ridiculous(in a good way). Anyone know what computer program he used or of a program that can serve that purpose?

that's also a racing big block with a 300 shot of NOS (although I did see that he removed it at one point). it's not like he sat down with his laptop and made 1200 hp on a stock vette. 1200hp isn't that unheard of on a motor with that many cubes (not to mention a 4 1/2 inch bore)

I saw both the episode & the website. As far as a miracle software upgrade...other than the pre-programmed e-manage...I don't know what else that can help.

im in the process of getting a OBD II to serial connection from the car to the laptop so i will l be able to get readings from the ECU. i dont know of any programs specifically designed for the tl to give it any performance gains but maybe i could put a little something together once i get the wire and software.

Yeah but Brizzle, it only monitors engine performance. As edgalang said, besides the Unichip (unproven), the Apexi VAFC (minimal gains) and the eManage, there is nothing out there to modify the ECU settings.
