External Navigation System

Hello all how are you all doing. I just had a question for you all maybe someone can help. I am looking into getting an external Navigation system (Garmin) its a pretty big investment i was checking and the price ranges in the $700.00 range was wondering if anyone had experience with any good one or had suggestions. I have navigation in my 2003 TL-S and i guess i am so used to i need it in other cars as well.

1. If someone can tell me which is the best option.
2. Where i can get the best deals on the Navi system

Thank you all

P.S. Also have a question on the clear coat Xpel for headlights i drive alot on the freeway so i got some rock marks on bumper and headlamp area and of course foglights cracked... wondering if the covering is worth having on the headlight or would be sturdy enough to be left alone for the life of the vehicle.

I have the Magellan Roadmate 700 and I love it. It is priced a little higher but you can find it for $800. I am in the process of the Nav conversion for my '02 TLS but I think that I will hang on to the Roadmate. As far as where to find the best prices...the site I always use is cnet.com. You can find just about any kind of gadgets on this site and it will tell you where to find it the cheapest. Very helpful for me, let me know how you like it.

What is the clear coat Xpel? Is it a spray on?

Considering the cost of replacement, headlight protection film is worth the money. It can be left on for the life of the vehicle and easily installed (DIY). You can also check with Rockblocker, an official vendor for product applications.

It is usually a urethane a film with similar properties to PPF (clearbra) but slightly thicker. It is pre cut to fit over the headlights and completely invisible from a few feet away.

Yes sir, We have doubled in size this year. I guess all this dirt and construction has something to do with it.
