Hi I have an 03 tl-s and manufacturer's warranty started on 3/31/03. almost 41k miles later, the warranty expiration is coming up. i was mailed a postcard indicating that extended warranty is available to me if i want.

how many people bit on the extended warranty offer? how much is it? my transmission seemed to have been fixed a couple years ago, not replaced, but fixed. do you think more problem will come up around that? what other common problems does this car have?

You really have to read teh fine print on what those non manufacturer warranties cover.

In regards to your trans, they didn't fix any thing. They added a oiljet kit to help out a unrelated problem to the trans. Your still not in the clear for the trans to fail. You may want to go to acuras site and register under the owners link and see if your cars tranny is covered under the 7 year 100k trans warranty extension to make a decision if you want a aftermarket warranty.

i logged into owner link but cannot find any information about extended warranty on my car. i called the dealership today and they told me i'm covered, based my type of car. they did not ask me for my vin #.

i have a 03 TL-S. Can anyone help me find that info on ownerlink?
