exhaust tips

exhaust tips

Hello,

I have a question regarding oem original never changed exhaust on my 99TL.

i have 155k on it.

One exhaust tip broke off. Should i change the exhaust prefer no too. Can i just get some used tips and welded back on??

any suggestions.....?

catback is everything behind the catalytic converter. 950+shipping for ATLP if your budget is lower, then apexi ws2, custom magnaflows, tanabe super medallion hypers, etc.

if you just wanna change the exhaust tips there's a couple choices. the 3A tips are pretty popular here.

I would suggest to buy new tips, its much cheaper. Assuming the piping is still sticking up. The tips just screws on to the muffler. Since the tip is gone, is there still a pipe that sticking out of the muffler? If so, just buy a new 3a tip on ebay, costs me like 15 bucks for two and they look sweet. But if they were rusted and broke off then you would need to get a new muffler.

yeah only one of the exhaust tips rusted and broke off. but still working. some of the pipe is still there but not complete. looking for a low cost solution. Thanks

if your stapped for cash the tsudo axle back ($215) is great pretty quite system looks great too and if you want it real deep toned im running the tsudo and i also removed both resonators and put a thrust glasspack in place of it

They are pretty long so as long as you have some piping then you should be fine. If you question your knowledge, swing by an exhaust shop and they can tell you real quick if they can put another tip on it. Its a cheap $20 fix. good luck man
